RECENT PROJECT
PROJECT // 01
A friend sent me photos of his grandchildren. I was so in love with the composition, values and color that I just had to paint it. I reached out to him and asked if I could use his reference photo for a painting and he readily agreed.
This piece measures 18"x24" and is painted in acrylic on canvas. I started with grid work to sketch in the likeness of the children. I then blocked in the dark colors and started to add layers of glazes to the piece.
I have several more hours to go before I can complete this piece but overall I am pleased with how it is slowly taking shape.
